APRIL 7TH MEETING INFORMATION

Dear Beta Club Members and Parents,

Our meeting will be held on April 7th at the new location for Hope Christian School, Living Hope Baptist Church at our regular scheduled time for our Jr. and Sr. Beta Club.

We are supporting Children’s Hospital and bringing items to fill the Easter Baskets. Please do not bring food or candy to put in the baskets. Please bring arts and crafts items and books. You can also bring small toys that might be fun to play with if you were in the hospital. Stickers and sticker books, coloring books, colors, markers, reading books, stuffed animals etc. Last year, we donated both a girl and boy basket from Jr. Beta.

Please make sure that your items for the Children’s Hospital Baskets are new items.

If you have an Easter Basket that you would like to donate for us to fill, please email me and bring it to the meeting. I know that we have one basket now.

WE ALSO HAVE ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY.

Girl Scout Troop # 313 (Helena) Book Drive for Jessie’s Place

Love to read? So do we, and we need your help in sharing the gift of reading with others!

A Girl Scout troop is working to build the library at Jessie’s Place, a haven for homeless and hurting women and children seeking shelter while preparing to reach self-sufficiency. The troop has assembled three bookcases to donate to Jessie's Place and we would love to fill all three with books for the women and children that live in the shelter. One of the troop members has benefited by living at Jessie's place with her two younger brothers while waiting for a foster family who then adopted all three children. She remembers living there and is excited with the project that the troop is working on in order to earn their Bronze award.

Please donate gently used and/or new books for women and children of all ages. Just bring the books for donation to the Beta Club meeting on April 7 and the Fuchs family will take them to the next troop meeting and surprise all the girls with our donation. If you have any questions please contact Sherri Fuchs at cookingsherri@charter.net since her daughter Brianna is a member of Troop 313.

I know that you probably have books that you can donate for this wonderful service opportunity. What a blessing we can be to the women and children at Jessie’s Place by bringing books for them.

Please email me with any questions or concerns for April.

Blessings,

Mrs. Crawford
