Policys and communication

Our dress policy will be distributed at the meeting. If you belong to other clubs, this is the same policy that you have received in those clubs.

Please use good manners and put your cell phone away during Beta. Please....no texting. If you have to text your parents, please go outside. Thank you.

If you are not receiving email communications from me, please let me know at the meeting. General info is on the blog, but I do use email for specific items which may list names or require a response. Several of these specific emails have been sent, and I am missing several email addresses.

Beta Tshirts

If you want to purchase a Beta Tshirt, please bring $15 for the cost of the shirt to the October or November meeting. The shirts will be very similar to the ones we have now. We will place an order as soon as we have 24 Tshirts sold. Please give the money to our treasurer, Joshua Blackwell.

Meeting this Thursday, Oct. 1 to Support our Troops

Our October meeting is this Thursday, October 1 at 1:15 at the Hope School. We will be doing our annual service project to support our troops. We will be working with the local chapter of the Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. Some items that they have requested thus far, in addition to what we have done last year, is something to keep them warm in the cold months there, such as blankets and pillows. If anyone has any extra fleece material, please bring some. Other items are snacks, such as beef jerky, crackers, and mints. Toilet items such as combs and toothbrushes. Please do not send soaps, because the fragrance tends to absorb into the food items. You may also bring notepads, pens, game books. We will also make cards, and I will have the materials available to make them.

Remember if you have not paid your new member dues by Thursday, it increases to $25 for new members. Returning members dues remains at $7, and will increase to $10 in the 2010-2011 school year.

Please keep an eye on this blog over the next few days as I will be posting details on additional items to bring for the service project, our attendance and dress policy, and info on purchasing Beta Tshirts.

First Meeting this Thursday

Hi Beta Members,
This Thursday, Sept. 3rd, is our first Beta meeting at 1:15 at the School Office. It will be our introductory meeting to meet our new members. Dues is $20 for new members and $7 for returning members. Beginning Oct. 1 dues increases to $25 for new members. Look forward to seeing you on Thursday.

End of the year Social

Following our 1:00 ceremony at the school, we will move around the corner to the Pelham Park for a year end social with Key Club. In case of rain, we will remain at the school.

Remember the time change for Thursday's meeting

Remember, we will be meeting at 1:00pm at the school for our scheduled monthly meeting/ceremony. We are doing this to accomodate our social with Key Club following the induction ceremony.

Beta New Member Induction

Our meeting this month will be our New Member Induction Ceremony. You should have received an email if you are an inductee. If you are not on our email list, and know you are due to be inducted please come to this ceremony so you can be formally introduced to your fellow members.
